North Cyprus is blessed with wonderful warm weather most of the year and although there are almost no extreme weather there are surprisingly still noticeable differences between the seasons.
Summer- mid-May to mid-October
This is the perfect holiday season and the perfect weather for all beach activities.
This season features very high temperatures and yet it also has cool ocean breezes. If you are planning on spending long hours at the beach you should use protection: sunscreen, a hat, drink lots of water and sit in the shade.
Autumn- mid- October to November
This season is great for those who like to hike and go site seeing. It is not as hot as the summer season but is still really warm and suitable for swimming and beach activities. The leaves start changing color and the evenings are cooler. Also there is a festival on the island this time of year named Kypria. In this festival dramatic and musical artists perform all around the island.
Winter- November to February
Even though this is the winter season it is not so cold as one would expect.
Every day holds a warm promise with about 6 hours of sunshine, and light rain appears only around the beginning of February. Towards the end of February winter seems to kick in and snow falls in the Troodos, making ski the biggest attraction.
Spring- February to mid-May
Great time for hiking or cycling. This season reveals the natural beauty of northern Cyprus in all its glory. Flowers are blooming and the temperatures are really nice (warm in the day time and cooler at night) which makes it even more appealing to get out there and enjoy it.
